We are passing through one of the finest Onam for the Mollywood. All the Malayalam released so far has been doing good to excellent business at box office. The last film added to the list  Oru Muthassi Gadha  which is released today is having a feel good entertainer WOM.

1 Oppam

The big hit of the Onam season. From the evening shows of the First day till yesterday the majority of the theaters screening this film has only one story to tell..Houseful. The weekend has been earth shattering and the Bakrid day was super fantastic. The Uthradam day which is normally a dry for the movies was fabulous for this movie. Super Star Mohanlal silence all the critics with this marvelous performance at box office. Hand folded, this blogger is accepting that I was wrong in the doubt and perception that ''the charm is fading ''. But it has proven virtually the opposite it is at its electrifying peak . This Lal- Priyan combo is the prime priority of the any of the cinema viewer and his fans are making ritual by repeat watch. Applauds for the combo is pouring from entire film industry from North India to South. The movie has one more record to its credit. The fastest 10 Cr gross that too in six days. The gross is 10.90 Cr approx in 6 days.  Expecting more magic in coming days from magic combo Mohanlal- Priyadarshan.

2.  Oozham

Playing second fiddle to Oppam. Having a very good opening at the box office. Crossed 6 Cr in six days is great achievement considering that one of the film of the season is roaring at box office. It has gross of 6.35 Cr approx in 6 days . Jeethu Joseph has created a fixed audience in south India and it pays immensely at the box office for this movie. Prithviraj was in need of a hit and this movie has come at a perfect time.

3. Welcome to Central Jail

 WOM wise this Dileep film is at low web. The tested comedies repeated with minimal impact. Families especially kids favourite hero image helps at box office at these initial days. But long run is a question mark . This Sundar das come back film is having good opening with 4.25 Cr approx in 4 days

4. Irumugan

At last it happened. A big Tamil film which had  great hype could not take off  at Kerala particularly due to excellent opening of the Malayalam films. Vikram has formidable fan base in Kerala and but to his bad luck even after reasonable WOM the film has average occupancy at majority of the centers. It has collected around 3.20 Cr approx so far which is average opening. 

5. Kochavva Paulo Ayyappa Coelho (KPAC ).

Famous Udaya films returns to production through Kunchako Boban and the film has very good WOM. Felt the timing of release as inappropriate. The small screens impacted at the initial collection. Once the biggies festivities settles down it can release some more screen by way late release and consolidate it box office fortunes. Grosses around 1.25 Cr approx in 5 days which is below average opening.
