Theri stuns Kerala box office with new record of  highest opening weekend. The mass masala entertainer literally shattered all the record of highest opening in Kerala by grossing 9.80 Crore in th  four days in in around 130 screens . On first day this film had nearly 180 screens across Kerala. This film also proves that Ilayathalapathy Vijay popularity in Kerala is at unimaginable peak . The Friday Film house which bought the right of the movie at 5.60 Cr is all set to earn huge profit with its remaining run in Kerala. Though WOM is mixed the Atlee factor helps big time in inviting audience coupled with WOM on excellent performance of Vijay. The repeated audience ensures houseful shows without any break in several screens.

 The outstanding performance of this movie at box office  has left Malayalam movies of Vishu season in dire streets. The way it is behaving even on Monday clearly indicates that Theri will set another record in Kerala by grossing biggest first week collection.
