Leela - Three days collection
Controversies surrounding Ranjith’s Film Leela fails to calm down. Now the script writer has comes down heavily with an allegation that there is concrete attempt from a section of media and people to tarnish the film in bad light and defeat it by uploading the film in some websites. Now the Director Ranjith also aired a video to save the film from the pirated uploading and downloading. Truly, the HD content is visible in one of the famous online film download site which can seriously hamper the box office chance of the film. Normally Malayalam movies appears in the sites after the DVD's released but this one will have serious consequence at box office which should be controlled at any cost. The film actually doing an average business even though it has some negative WOM among the family audience circles! But there are good reviews to support this different attempt. The film opened to a good note at box office considering the screen count which was around 65 only.
The collection on the day one was approx 57 lakhs and there was slide on the Saturday's collection and maintained equal number at box office as of Saturday by grossing around 1.40 Cr in three days. The online shows has given an additional revenues which proportionately huge considering the total budget of the film. If it can survive the second week at least in 30 screens the film likely to bring profits to the makers.
