This March is witnessing terrible weather , the hot summer is here to stay for some more month. Good theaters with reliable air conditions facility going to enjoy the crowd otherwise the ordinary viewers is going to mark the theaters which is poor in quality in their red category list to avoid. The hardcore fans may bravely face any adverse weather irrespective WOM but the family throngs to theaters if the WOM is good. We have two victims already in the form of last week release. They face the heat of the people’s wrath as well as the climate.

Kerala Top 4 movies as on 25/03/2016

1. Darvinte Parinamam

Promos were good and marketing were top class but when the WOM falls to average category the damage begins with day two. This film of Prithviraj is having tougher time at box office. The week days shows were of terrible placed. With large number of screens the film somehow manages put up decent initial but that may not be enough to cover the cost from theater run. It has collected 4.10 Cr so far with severe reduction of shows in the second week on cards. Will be lucky if this film can take a 6 Cr gross in the life time run. From very good opening it has tumbled to average week opening.

2. Ithu Thanda Police

This film neither a police to get attention nor a thief to robe the valuable time of the film lovers. The WOM is settles around below average level forcing the collection never to grow even above average. Asif Ali’s’ solo ‘ bad time at box office continues . Collects around 1.55 Cr in a week. Producers to incur huge losses. Weak opening.

3. Action Hero Biju

Biju celebrated 50 days in 50 plus screens, superb achievement of a film which considered as driving to flop zone on the fifth day onward. The miraculous return in box office with clinical perfection marketing strategy brought back the real WOM . Super Stardom of Nivin Pauly is the one of the key point in the success of the film. Collects around 13.50 Cr with 14,500 shows. Super hit

4. Maheshinte Prathikaram

Another Super hit of 2016. 50^thday today in around 40 plus screen. The low budget film with no hype whatsoever on the day one but the good to excellent WOM conquered box office even over taking Biju at one point of time. The strong performance of this film at box office is welcome change in Mollywood where small films are facing heat at box office with routine disasters. Collected around 13.40 Cr with around 12,450 shows. Mega hits as far as revenue in return of investment is considered. A turning point in box office career of Fahad Fazil

Mollywood eagerly waits for the release of Dulquer Salmaan’s Kali  which is going to release tomorrow  in 100 plus across Kerala. The reservation for tomorrow is on fast track basis.
