Sringaravelan had taken an earth shattering opening, the second highest of the year, but failed to hold up well after the Onam vacations.The collections dropped around 55% towards the end of week two, which is more than the normal trend in the industry. It needs to be seen whether Sringaravelan can sustain well enough to cross Romans, to become the highest grosser of 2013 by the end of fourth week.

The film grossed 2.5 Crores in its second week, as the Sringaravelan juggernaut dropped significantly, and shall in all probabilities end up Mammootty's highest grossing solo film in the last 3 years overtaking Immanuel.
