Second Show Boxoffice Collection Update - 3.12 Crores Collection in 24 Days
Second Show has done tremendous business at the Kerala Boxoffice, becoming the first commercially successful movie of 2012. The film has already collected a gross of about 3.12 Crores in 24 days, earning a distributor share of 1.46 Crores. Second Show released in 65 screens on 3rd February, and still continues strong in 35 screens in its 4th week of release. The film has run 4267 shows in Kerala till date, and is already in the profit zone.The satellite rights have been sold for a whopping amount of 1.40 Crores to Mazhavil Manorama. The Audio and DVD rights have fetched about 30 - 35 lacs. The film was completed within a shoe string budget of less than 2.50 crores. The Return On Investment for the film is almost double of what an average successful Malayalam movie earns under the current trade conditions.
Second Show took a very decent opening of about 1.46 Crores in the first weekend. The movie held up really well due to the positive word of mouth and excellent review from critics. The Gross amount collected by the film each of its week are as follows
