Friday Matinee - Excellent EZRA

Ezra is getting excellent initial report from the viewers and the box office. The WOM is good and it has been rated as horror movie in par with Hollywood movies due to its superior quality technical perfection. There is unanimous appreciation for the entire technical crew. Prithviraj has good start in 2017 by a cracker hit. Truly dream debut for Director Jay. Box office wise the movie has opened to packed house in around 120 screens across Kerala and early estimate suggest that it may fetch in the region of 1.80 Cr to 2 Cr on the opening day. Ezra will be dominate the weekend exclusively with additional screens and extra shows.

Family drama genre movies have certain limits at box office but Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol has surpassed those limits quite comfortably. Superb two weeks has landed the makers in to profit zone.  To their benefit one more reasonable weekend to its credit!  But the weekdays were below average. By three weeks it could manage to reach near 10,000 shows in Kerala. The collection is at 25.85 Cr in three weeks which is good by all means. Certain big release this week likely to over shadow the collection of this movie but this Mohanlal – Jibu Jacob movie has done its business and is earning the extra bonus from the box office. Siddique need to wait for some more time for a big hit. His latest outing with Jayasurya has failed to impress the people. But the initial hype provided the movie excellent opening and good weekend. Thereafter the collection dropped considerably with series of hold over’s . The general feeling is that the comedy failed to connect while story background is a cliché. Siddique need to reboot his plans  to get new way of making  at least. Collected around 4.35 Cr in a first week within little prospects in coming weeks. Above average opening

Jomonte Suvishengal  continued  with lower occupancy and lesser collection. Whatever it milks right now is from Sathyan and Dulquer name brand. The WOM is not exciting for the family to try but will continue few centers. Grossed approx 14.90 Cr so far. Super Hit
