1. Kattapanayile Rithwik Roshan
2016 has given us enough surprise hits and this Nadirsha comedy sensation is one more to the list. Released in around 100 screens and shows and change to bigger screens have been the order of the day from second day onward. From superb weekend the movie travelled to growth to growth in weekdays even though demonetization side effects are apparently created a sense of low spending among the public . Although entertainment is the last options in the payment the collection of this movie vindicate the fact the public has resorted to watch this fun rider to relax from all the tension. It has broken only one record remained with Drishyam which was in the form of highest number of shows. Drishyam had 26,300 plus shows in its final run but Murugan has crossed it in 47 days. The movie celebrated its 50th day in around 100 screens in Kerala which is another first in the Mollywood history. Worldwide collection without rights itself touched 120 Cr with Kerala contributing around 73.60 Cr . GCC collection is staggering one with around 32.50 Cr and it is the biggest south Indian grosser.
3. Aanandam
Low budget movies rule the Kerala box office and this one is one among them. With entirely fresh faces in every department cruised to success reaping impressive revenue at box office. Super Hit by all means collected around 8.10 Cr and still occupies the screens with an average collection.
