The clash of big 'M'
The clash of big M again in the Mollywood. Two prestigious projects of Mammootty and Mohanlal compete each other on October 7th as the Thoppil Joppan also censored today ensuring the fight is on. It should have been averted because of the sole reason that the atmosphere of festivity is no more prevail among the fans but the hard core hatred takes venomous turn. The social network is filled with arguments and counter arguments of the films before its release itself.
Fans and it association are giving extra mile of promotion to their favorites. Admittedly this biggest plus every star would love to have. For the big M , this is just another film in their decades old career. But for the fans it is matter of prestige. From theater charting to reservation status have been anxiously followed up and updated. Now on the first day we may see flurry of reviews … reviews of praise and criticism of the films of 7th. The fans are showing no remorse in taking pride in down grading the films unnecessarily. In a worst scenario this blogger came across a whatsapp message by a fan leader to his members to boycott one of the film of 7th so that it does not get viewers on the first day and the weekend. See how the atmosphere is vitiated!
Surprisingly the big M has never shown any courage to direct or advise the fans to behave prudently for the sake of the cinema. They are mute spectator to the drama and should be blamed for the silence as well. Since the clash is unavoidable let the big M come together and promote each other’s cinema for the benefit of their film and the industry. Mohanalal’s Pulimurugan has 20 Cr plus budget and Mammootty’s Thoppil Joppan has around 8 Cr budget. It means around 30 Cr business at stake at this Friday. Let Mammootty be the first viewer of Pulimurugan and Mohanlal to have Joppan for the FDFS. Cinema is an entertainment and the stars entertain us so let us not make cinema a medium of hatred.
All the best wishes to Pulimurugan and Thoppil Joppan
