The Onam winner - Prithvi or Dileep ?

Mollywood has arranged a complete feast with variety of genre film dishes ranging from comedy to thriller. Among the big M , only Mohanlal will have release through Oppam but the interesting box office fight is centered up on two films Oozham and Welcome to central Jail. The fan rivalry of Prithviraj and Dileep is almost equal to the age old fan fight of Mammootty – Mohanlal. The scheduled release of these films are designed in a manner it does not clash on release day but to compete each other in a week itself. It is pertinent to note that both films heroes are testing the luck water in their safer zone itself. When Prithvi shines in his thriller roles Dileep takes comfort in his comedy roles. But Prithviraj has biggest advantage that of he is in a film which directed by one of the highly sought after director Jeethu Joseph’s film but Dilip may feel in rough turf since director Sundardas is in search of a big break.

The both of trailers have been well received among fans and the genre they are attempting is on two different poles. Oozham belongs to thriller and action genre with guaranteed twist and turn master craftsman Jeethu Joseph but Welcome is full of slapsticks and comedy clearly earmarked for the holiday audience to let loose. When you check around the box office fate of festival season  films , comedy is sure bet irrespective of WOM for the first week and Thriller films may pull the collection trigger for the first three days. Family audience throngs to comedy films but younger generation repeated views is a minimum guarantee if thriller strikes. So who is going to be on Top of Onam chart? Is it advantage to Dileep ?
