Super Star Mohanlal steps to stardom were paved by his childhood friend and Mollywood star director of eighties Priyadharshan. Whenever they united together in eighties till nineties hits to blockbusters were the results. Of late Priyan is having worst period in his career without notable box office success even though he tried luck with Super Stars. Oppam is one of the final attempt to regain the glory which has been frequently evading him. To return to the mainstream of box office he resorted his last weapon... Mohanlal . Lal though busy with his never ending Puli Murugan and two Telugu films at a time ,without any hesitation gives the earlier dates giving priorities to his best friend in the industry and personal life.

Oppam is a thriller with pinch of comedy attached to it. Super Star is acting as blind man that what it was rumoured around but the posters released show he is dancing along with Vimala Ramen but with a stick. Rumours may be a hit job and who knows the real plot of the movie till the director disclose the clues openly. But the posters look colurful and fresh. And Mohanlal is dashingly handsome !
