NERAM is a Super Hit - Grosses 5.30 Crores in 4 weeks - Boxoffice Update
Neram has marched its way on to Super Hit status, after it grossed approx. 70 lakhs in its fourth week from 56 theaters in the state. It is only the second film this year, to be classified a Super Hit by the trade, after Romans. The total gross from 28 days is 5.30 Crores approx, with a distributor share of 2.40 Crores. Neram's success adds to the list of profitable ventures brought to Mollywood by LJ Films.
Nivin Pauly grabs the spotlight once again, after the recent setbacks post Thattathin Marayathu. Nazriya has thrusted her way into the top, in the list of Mollywood heroines, and her callsheets are hot-selling properties in the market now.
In the forthcoming week, the movie shall face competition from Honey Bee, which has released with positive reports in 75 screens in the state. Wide removals are expected irrespective of how well Neram performs this week, as releases are galore on June 14.
Dulquar Salman's ABCD is set to release big, and is now ensured of a good opening, with 'Johnny Mone' song filling up the FMs and youtube. Arunkumar Aravind - Murali Gopi - Indrajith combo comes together again after the ravishing Ee Adutha Kalathu, and is expected to have its share of theaters also.
But the biggest impact will be made by Surya's Singam II which is ready take 120+ theaters in Kerala by storm, notably a wider release than the biggest mass Mollywood release of the year Kammath & Kammath which released in 94 theaters.
Neram has done its part, and done it well too. It got a couple of open weeks to rake in the moolah and have taken full toll of the same. Kudos from BOV.!
