Vineeth Sreenivasan's second directorial venture has set the Malayalam boxoffice on fire, with Thattathil Marayathu running successfully all over the state. The film becomes the most well received love story of recent times. With holy season coming up, the movie looks good for long run.

Usthad Hotel holds up very well in the second week despite the tremendous run of Thattathin Marayathu. Anwar Rasheed continues his run of success at the boxoffice with a fourth successive hit. Thilakan becomes a sort of lucky charm of films these days.

The film has lost its initial buzz with the success of new releases. But Spirit has done enough to double the investment made by its makers. The exemption from entertainment has made things even better. But the huge line of removals in the recent weeks have curtailed its progress.

Verdict : SUPER HIT
Diamond Necklace improves one position this week, and jumps up to the 4th place above the other new releases. The film marks the come back of Lal Jose into boxoffice success after Spanish Masala which was a boxoffice dud.

Verdict : HIT
Bachelor Party makes a return to the BOV Top 5 after a couple of weeks. The film's collections have fallen like a pack of cards after the opening week. It looks highly unlikely that the film would recover its cost unless it obtains a staggering price as TV rights

Verdict : FLOP
